Dongguan is in south central Guangdong, northeast of the Zhujiang Delta. It is 50km south of Guangzhou; 90km north of Shenzhen; 47 sea miles from Hong Kong and 48 sea miles from Macao. The city is a vital land and sea link between Guangzhou and Hong Kong. Houjie Town is southwest of Dongguan and central to the Guangzhou-Shenzhen Economic Area. It is connected to Guancheng in the North and Humen in the South. The 107 National Highway and the Guangshen Expressway cross the town. The city of Dongguan has convenient land and sea transport links. It’s a key hub in the Zhujiang Delta.

Dongguan has an efficient network of interconnecting roads, highways and railways. (Additionally, the city boasts efficient telecommunication, water distribution and electricity supply networks.

Houjie’s Guangdong Modern International Exhibition Center (GDE) is easily accessible from the Guangshen, Jinzhu and Shenshan Expressways. To get to GDE is a 30-minute drive from Shenzhen International Airport; a 50-minute drive from Guangzhou Airport and a one-hour drive from Zhuhai Airport.

* We strongly recommend you fly to Shenzhen International Airport. From there, it’s a 30-minute taxi ride to GDE. The taxi will cost about RMB150 (USD 22).

Driving from Shenzhen or Guangzhou to Dongguan
Visitors driving from Guangzhou or Shenzhen to Dongguan can either exit at the Houjie Interchange on the Guangshen Expressway to GDE along S256 Provincial Road (formerly known as “107 National Road”) or at Expo Avenue.
